Each lantern, or pod, if left to mature contains 3 perfectly round black seeds, each with a white heart painted on them. Sow in Spring as soon as temperatures are above 50 degrees. Scarification and soaking overnight hasten germination. Can also be started indoors 4-6 weeks before transplanting out once danger of frost has passed.
