48 Days. Extra early Italian heirloom variety. 4" heads of tender stalks with superb mild flavor. After initial cutting plant bears reliable successive side shoots over a long harvest. Perfect for northern gardens and cooler climates but does well in our hot desert garden as well. Direct sow in Spring as soon as soil can be worked or can be started indoors 4-6 weeks before transplanting. Can be sown again in Fall in most areas. Prefers nutrient dense soil, consistent moisture, full to part sun. and regular fertilizing with organic matter.
