90-120 Days. Heirloom. Also known as beardtongue, this beautiful bloomer upholds glorious spikes of purple-blue flowers with a touch of rosey-pink on 2-2 1/2' tall plants. Can reach 24-36" wide at maturity. Attracts hummingbirds, bees, and other beneficials. A high impact plant with low maintenance. Blooms early Summer and lasts 5 weeks or more. Will self sow if allowed. Evergreen foliage. Rabbit resistant. Sow seeds indoors 8 weeks before transplanting out after temperatures are above 50 degrees. Can be direct sown as soon as soil can be worked in Spring as well as in early Fall. Prefers full sun to part shade, average to fertile soil, and average moisture. Deer and rabbit resistant.
