55 Days. Heirloom. The most cold hardy variety. Very best flavor in cooler temperatures. Plants reach 2'. Sow indoors in late winter for transplanting out in mid-Spring. Can also be direct sown as soon as soil can be worked in Spring. Kale prefers rich, well amended soil with consistent, even moisture and full to part sun. Leaves can be harvested at any stage. Use raw, sauteed, in your favorite recipes, or in juicing. Great for making Kale chips. Can be frozen or freeze dried to preserve. Easily a 3-4 season crop depending on your area.
