100 Days to maturity. Open pollinated. Easy to. grow medicinal herb that can also be eaten as a greens crop. Young shoots are delicious steamed as Spring greens or can be dried for teas and tincture. 3-4' tall spreading rhizomes and leaves can sting so handle carefully. Cooking removes the sting. High in minerals and protein. Direct sow as soon as soil can be worked in SPring or in Fall. Can be started indoors 6-8 weeks before transplanting out after temperatures are above 50 degrees. Prefers average to fertile soil, full sun, and average moisture. Zone 2-10 urtica dioica
