60 Days. Beautiful, sturdy, upright plants reach 18" tall and 12-15" wide. Excellent flavor and vigor in cold and hot temperatures. Sow indoors in late winter for transplanting out in mid-Spring. Can also be direct sown as soon as soil can be worked in Spring. Kale prefers rich, well amended soil with consistent, even moisture and full to part sun. Leaves can be harvested at any stage. Use raw, sauteed, in your favorite recipes, or in juicing. Can be frozen to preserve. Easily a 3-4 season crop depending on your area. Coverage may be needed.
